EVENTS

Each year the Cartmel In Bloom Group holds some events which aim to bring the community together or raise funds for their activities or a combination of both.  Some events are held regularly and organised by the Group themselves while  others take place periodically instigated by members of the community who wish to participate, support and fundraise for the activities of the group.

Some of the past events held by the Group or by others for the benefit of Cartmel In Bloom are listed below:

Plant sale – This is held annually on the Sunday of the first Bank Holiday May weekend (in 2017 the plant sale will be held on Sunday 30th April).

The AGM  – This is held in the winter months  often combined with a dinner open on a first come first serve basis.

A Summer party organised by the owners of the Royal Oak and Kings Arms pubs held in the garden of the Royal Oak on the Sunday between the July races.

Gin tasting evening.

Wine tasting evening at The Cavendish Arms.

A Ceilidh evening at the Village Hall.

An Open Gardens Day showcasing 9 village gardens

BBQ organised and funded by Ian and Rachel Holcroft in their garden.

Wine tasting evening for 40 people organised and funded by Judy and Andy Horrocks.
