Bernard Edward (known as Freddie) Perry, born 17 December 1922, lived in Cartmel since 1973.  Interviewed  by Irini Tzortzoglou and John Batty for 45 minutes. Interview principally concerns his experience as a church warden of the Priory from 1987, including church warden’s duties, comments on known vicars and involvement in their selection, preparations for 800^th anniversary, planning and replacement of the bell frame, notes on bell ringing (when and how), changing fashions in the congregation, his hobby of collecting old post cards of Cartmel.
